Q: Is Hiccup a real dog?

Yes!  Hiccup is a female Jack Russell terrier.  Meet her here.
Q: Is there such thing as an indestructible dog toy?

No, just like there isn't an indestructible anything on this planet.  In fact, dogs like playing with toys exactly because they can be destroyed!  Many people want to buy a chew toy that will last for years to save money, and indeed there's no shortage of brands making this claim.  But this just isn't natural - and most likely these are synthetic material toys.  These materials can contain harmful chemicals such as BPA and phthalates that are released faster when subject to heat, pressure and saliva - just like when your dog chews!  Hiccup Dog does carry plastic toys - but they are non-toxic, BPA/phthalates-free and FDA compliant, thus much safer for your dog.

Q: What are these all natural materials you keep mentioning?

Our toys are made from cotton, hemp, jute, wool and wood.  Some are even organic.  And don't worry, our plastic/rubber toys are BPA-free, phthalates-free and non-toxic.  Learn more about these materials here.

Q: Which toy is right for my dog?
For aggressive chewers who regularly destroy soft toys, we recommend the West Paw Design Jive ball, Hurley bone and Tux treat toy.  These are our toughest toys, made in the USA of plastic that is non-toxic, BPA and phthalates free, and even FDA compliant (meaning it is safe to eat food off of it).  We have no problems giving our own little aggressive chewer our soft toys though, as we just put the stuffing back in if she tears it out, or even put some treats inside!  It helps that she doesn't eat the stuffing though, she just likes to tear it out.  For mild chewers or those who just like to cuddle or fetch, then any of the toys here would be suitable.
Q: Other stores have a wider range of dog products, why don't you?
This allows us to be 100% focused on finding the best and safest things for dogs that fit our values.  Also, we are not trying to sell you everything under the sun, nor we do we just have a small section selling natural, eco-friendly products.  Our entire store is consistent with our mission and values!
